Gemini lets users try clothing combinations in images

On October 19, Google published a case study about Sydney Bordonaro, an athlete stylist who uses Gemini to show ideas to clients who live far away and can’t try on clothes in person. The article, by Sarah Armstrong, Contributor, describes how she presents outfits before sending the clothes. Google
Visualizing and adjusting the outfit
Bordonaro uploads photos of garments to see how they look on an image of her client. According to Google’s account, Gemini preserves the person’s appearance while showing the complete outfit. The post also suggests uploading a photo of yourself along with screenshots of items you’re considering buying to create a composite image before placing an order. Google
The stylist requests changes conversationally, such as replacing boots with loafers or shortening a jacket, without starting over. Google includes an example in English: “keep this outfit, but change the jacket to dark denim,” asking Gemini to keep the outfit and change the jacket to dark denim. Bordonaro then shares the image with her client to get her feedback. Google
Asking about a problem using a photo
The case study also describes a question before an event: when makeup gets on the collar of a garment, Bordonaro takes a photo, and Gemini provides step-by-step instructions for cleaning it with materials available at the location. Google
