On November 2, Google launched Skilling Africa with Google in Africa, a free digital and artificial intelligence learning hub open to everyone. It aims to train three million people by 2030. Users sign in with Google Single Sign-On, Google's sign-in service. Google

More than 15 initiatives

The hub brings together more than 15 initiatives, including Google Career Certificates, Hustle Academy, training for small and medium-sized businesses, and Google Cloud Skills. It offers modules on AI, cloud services architecture, entrepreneurship, and career development. Google

According to Google, it has already trained more than seven million young Africans in basic digital skills. The company says more than 90% of regional companies report a shortage of professionals prepared for AI, and estimates the economic opportunity at $2.9 trillion. Google

Learning with limited connectivity

Users can download lessons over Wi-Fi and complete them offline, without mobile data. The hub is optimized for slow connections, entry-level phones, and computers. Google
