Google Launches Gaming Campaign with Henry Cavill

On November 4, Google published the first episode of a series in which Henry Cavill, an actor and producer, creates Mustache Protocol, a 16-bit video game, with Googlebook and integrated AI tools. The premise is to stop CGI artists, who work with computer-generated imagery, from erasing all the mustaches on the planet. The series announcement is by Menaka Shroff (MK), Vice President, Marketing, Global Android Ecosystem.

From ideas to gameplay mechanics

Antigravity turns natural-language instructions into gameplay mechanics. Cavill uses Rambler, a speech-to-text tool, to organize ideas, and Magic Pointer to select and combine visual elements. Continue On lets him move from an Android phone to Googlebook and back while keeping the context.

Later episodes will show the design of the protagonist, the creation of meme-inspired superpowers using AI-assisted programming, and work on the soundtrack. The game is still listed as “coming soon”; Google said it will be playable when it is finished.

Donation per play

Google announced a donation of $11 for every play from November 11 to 30, 2026, up to a maximum of $500,000, in partnership with Movember, according to the campaign terms. The funds will support initiatives related to men’s mental health, suicide prevention, and prostate and testicular cancers. (blog.google)
