How to download a copy of your TikTok data
By HeyMark · Updated
If you want to keep a copy of the information associated with your account, you can request it in TikTok’s settings. I’ll walk you through choosing what to include, sending the request, and returning to download the file when it is ready. A copy may include details such as your username, watch history, comment history, and privacy settings.
You need to sign in to request the copy from your account settings. If you lost your verification method, review the TikTok account recovery options.
Request a copy of your data
In the TikTok app, open Profile and tap the ☰ Menu. Go to Settings and privacy, then Account, and tap Download your data. Choose the information you want to include and the file format available on screen. When you are done, tap Request data.
TikTok prepares a file and notifies you in the app when it is ready. This may take a few days, so you will not be able to download it immediately after sending the request. You can check its status in the same section.
Download the file when it is ready
Return to Profile > ☰ > Settings and privacy > Account > Download your data. Open Download data to check the request. When it is marked as ready, tap Download. The file stays available for up to four days, so save it somewhere private where you can find it later.
The copy may not include every piece of account data. Some information that affects other people’s privacy may be unavailable. Processing also means that the most recent 24 to 48 hours of some data categories may be missing. If you need that newer activity, TikTok says you can submit another request after that period.
Cancel a pending request
To cancel a pending request, return to Download your data, open Download data, and tap Cancel beside the request. Confirm with Delete request. TikTok stops preparing the file when you cancel, so you will not receive it, but you can request your data again at any time.

If TikTok banned your whole account for being underage, check the flow and regional deadlines to appeal and request your data from the ban notice.
