Schedule TikTok on desktop: videos and photo carousels with every setting

By HeyMark · Reviewed by Crescente Martinez, CMO and co-founder of HeyMark · Updated

If your photos or videos are ready on your computer, you can prepare a TikTok post without transferring them to your phone. Use TikTok’s website to schedule videos; to schedule a photo carousel from your computer, you can use HeyMark. For example, a coffee shop can prepare its menu photos for Thursday. TikTok’s Help Center only explains photo posts in the app. Here’s what TikTok lets you do from a computer, and how to schedule videos and photo carousels in HeyMark with every TikTok setting.

What TikTok lets you do from a computer

On TikTok’s web version (TikTok Studio), you upload a video with the Upload button and, if your account qualifies, schedule it. Here’s how that compares with HeyMark:

TikTok on desktop HeyMark
Videos Upload and schedule Upload, trim and schedule
Photo carousels Its Help Center only explains them in the app Up to 35 photos, with a title of up to 90 characters and a cover
Trimming a video No: the browser uploads the whole video Yes, start and end
Changing a scheduled post Can’t be edited: you delete it and upload it again Reschedule it, or unschedule it and fix it
Other networks and team No Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube on the same calendar, with status, owner and an approval link
Price Free From $12 USD a month, with a 7-day trial

TikTok source: its Help Center articles Schedule video and Making a post, verified September 25, 2026.

The same Help Center sets three conditions for desktop scheduling: it’s for business accounts or accounts with 10,000 followers or more, the date has to be between 15 minutes and 10 days out, and it doesn’t work on mobile web. Also, on TikTok every new post keeps the previous post’s privacy setting: if your last one was “Only you”, the next one starts that way too.

Scheduling TikTok on desktop with HeyMark

In HeyMark you pick TikTok and one of its two formats: video or photo post, which is the carousel. HeyMark shows you TikTok’s limits before you write too much, and the post keeps the idea, the caption, the date and the owner in one place. These are the TikTok settings you choose before scheduling:

Setting Videos Photos
Privacy: public, friends (mutual followers), followers or only you Yes Yes
Allow comments Yes Yes
Allow Duet and Stitch Yes Not applicable: TikTok doesn’t use them on photos
Commercial content disclosure: your brand or branded content Yes Yes
AI-generated content label Yes Yes
Title separate from the caption, up to 90 characters Not applicable Yes
Chosen cover Yes Yes
Automatic music Not applicable Optional
Trim start and end Yes Not applicable

Privacy shows the options TikTok enables for your account, and you choose it on each post. Each post takes up to 35 files.

The commercial disclosure and the AI label, before you schedule

These are the two settings with consequences if they’re missing.

Commercial content disclosure. If the post promotes a brand, product or service, including your own business, TikTok requires the disclosure, and without it TikTok may remove or restrict the post, per its Help Center as of September 2026. Pick “Your brand” to promote your own business (the post is labeled “Promotional content”) or “Branded content” for a paid partnership with another business (labeled “Paid partnership”). One privacy detail: branded content can only be public or friends, never “Only you”, per TikTok’s developer guidelines.

AI-generated content. TikTok requires a label on AI-generated content that shows realistic images, audio or video, and it can remove unlabeled content that breaks its Community Guidelines. Minor corrections don’t count. The label doesn’t affect distribution, per its Help Center as of September 2026, and TikTok’s Creator Academy says you can’t edit or remove it after posting.

In HeyMark both are settings on the post. A scheduled post goes out with its saved settings, so check them before you schedule.

If you’re unsure whether to choose Your brand or Branded content, see how to choose and enable TikTok’s commercial disclosure.

From an Instagram Reel to TikTok

If the content started as a Reel, you duplicate it as a TikTok video without re-uploading the file: HeyMark copies the caption, the planning notes, the files, the cover and the labels. It doesn’t copy music you added inside Instagram or the link to the original post, and you set the TikTok settings on the copy. The walkthrough is in cross-post Instagram to TikTok.

Scheduling from Claude or ChatGPT

With HeyMark connected over MCP, your assistant creates the post, sets the TikTok settings and schedules it with your permissions. Scheduling runs directly, with no preview, so this prompt asks to see the draft first:

Photo carousel with the AI label
Use HeyMark with the brand brand name.
Create a TikTok photo post with the images I pick in HeyMark's file picker.
Carousel title: title, up to 90 characters. Caption: caption.
Privacy: public. Comments allowed. AI-generated content label on. No commercial content disclosure.
Show me the draft with all its settings, the date, the time and the time zone. Once I approve, schedule it for Thursday at 7 p.m. Eastern.

What your assistant can do on TikTok is on the TikTok MCP server page. If you also want to auto reply to comments on that carousel, see TikTok auto reply.

Limits worth knowing

  • TikTok caps daily posts. Each account accepts a limited number of posts a day through integrations, typically around 15, and the cap is shared across every connected tool, per the same developer guidelines (updated August 4, 2026).
  • Published isn’t the same as visible. TikTok can take a few minutes to process a post before it shows on your profile.
  • One TikTok account per brand.
  • Videos and photos, not stories. On TikTok, HeyMark publishes videos and photo posts; it doesn’t publish stories or text posts.
  • Audio comes from your file. Videos go out with your file’s audio, and on photo posts you can turn on the music TikTok adds.

When another option fits better

  • You only post videos, on an account that can already schedule on TikTok’s web. It’s free and it’s enough.
  • You want a free plan across networks. Metricool and Buffer also publish to TikTok and have free plans with limits; Metricool’s covers 1 brand and 20 posts a month (as of September 2026). HeyMark has no free plan: a 7-day trial, then from $12 USD a month.
  • You need X, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky or Google Business Profile. HeyMark doesn’t publish there. Which tool covers each one is in schedule social media posts.

Frequently asked questions

Can you schedule TikTok posts on desktop?

Yes. On TikTok's web version you upload a video with the Upload button and, if your account qualifies, schedule it. For photo carousels, TikTok's Help Center only covers the app, while HeyMark lets you upload and schedule them from your browser.

Can you schedule TikTok photo carousels?

TikTok's Help Center describes scheduling for videos only. In HeyMark you schedule a photo carousel like any other post, with a date, a time and TikTok's settings.

Why is TikTok Studio scheduling not working?

TikTok's Help Center lists three limits: desktop scheduling is for business accounts or accounts with 10,000 followers or more, it doesn't work on mobile web, and the date has to be between 15 minutes and 10 days out.

How do I add the AI-generated label on TikTok?

Turn on the AI-generated content setting before you post; in HeyMark it's a switch on the post. TikTok requires the label on realistic content made or edited with AI, and you can't remove it after posting.
