HeyMark vs Metricool: Which One Fits You in 2026
Pick Metricool if you want a free plan, deeper analytics, ads, or networks like X, Pinterest and Google Business Profile; it's also cheaper if you work solo across two or more brands. Pick HeyMark if you want AI that replies to comments and DMs in your brand's voice, automations included, a 5-person team from $30 USD a month, and an MCP server that also works your inbox.

HeyMark vs Metricool comes down to two ways of running your social media. Metricool is a scheduling and analytics tool with a free plan, 11 networks and ads management. HeyMark is built around an AI agent, Mark, that plans and publishes but also replies to comments and DMs, moderates, and sets up automations. If you’re deciding today, here’s where each one wins, what you’d pay in four common setups, and what Claude can do with each tool’s MCP server. We checked Metricool’s details on its website and help center on September 25, 2026.
HeyMark vs Metricool, fact by fact

Free for a limited time, then a paid add-on |
| Comment moderation | Automatic moderation: hides, holds for review or deletes comments, with your approval to delete | The inbox can't hide or delete comments. On TikTok, Flows hides comments with banned words |
| MCP server | Yes, free on every plan. Publishes, replies to comments and DMs, moderates, automates and shares reports and calendars | Yes, on every plan: 27 documented tools, 2 that write (schedule and edit scheduled posts) |

| Public API | No public REST API yet. Programmatic access is through MCP | Only on Advanced and Custom |
Two notes on the table. On team: HeyMark Creator is for one person, but the client approval link is included even there. On networks: both tools connect one account per network in each brand.
Where Metricool wins
- It has a free plan. 1 brand, 20 posts a month and 30 days of analytics, no credit card. HeyMark has no free plan, only a 14-day trial.
- Its analytics go deeper. HeyMark shows followers, views, interactions, per-post metrics and audience demographics, and shares reports through a link. Metricool goes further: competitor analysis, a Looker Studio connection (on Advanced) and AI reports in Metricool Studio, fully unlocked with the Advanced Analytics add-on.
- It manages ads. It brings together Meta Ads, Google Ads and TikTok Ads campaigns. HeyMark doesn’t manage ads.
- It covers more networks. 11 in total: on top of HeyMark’s 5 (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube), it adds Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, Twitch, Google Business Profile and X, the last one through a $10 USD a month add-on per account.
- It’s cheaper if you work solo across two or more brands. Starter covers 5 brands for $20 USD a month billed yearly and 10 for $36. HeyMark Creator is a single-brand plan, and Company starts at $30 with 3.
- It has a public API. Only on Advanced and Custom, but it’s there. HeyMark doesn’t have a public REST API yet: programmatic access goes through MCP.
- It has official connectors. Since September 10, 2026, Metricool has official connectors in Claude and ChatGPT, and its MCP server works even on the free plan. HeyMark is added to Claude as a custom connector, and in ChatGPT it needs developer mode to create or publish.
Where HeyMark wins
- AI that replies, not just AI that drafts. Mark replies to comments and DMs in your brand’s voice, which it learns from what you’ve already posted, with approval and handoff to a person. In Metricool, the assistant drafts copy with 5, 20 or 35 credits per brand a month that you can’t top up, and the inbox doesn’t document AI replies. The step-by-step is on AI comment replies.
- Automations included. Keyword rules come with every plan and don’t spend credits: public reply and DM on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and public reply on LinkedIn and YouTube, with up to 20 keywords per rule. Metricool’s Flows works with up to 3 fixed texts on Instagram and TikTok, one automation per post, and it’s set to become a paid add-on.
- Moderation. HeyMark holds comments for review, hides them, or deletes them from the platform with your approval. Metricool’s inbox can’t hide or delete comments; only on TikTok does Flows hide comments with banned words.
- A team without changing plans. Company includes 5 people and 3 brands for $30 USD a month. On Metricool, adding one person requires Advanced, from $53 USD a month billed yearly. The client approval link is on every HeyMark plan; on Metricool, approvals are an Advanced feature.
- TikTok DMs. HeyMark answers keyword DMs on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Metricool’s inbox has no TikTok or LinkedIn DMs.
- You plan where you publish. The idea, the script and the caption live on the same post, with a status, a date and an owner. Your team comments and uploads new versions right there, and there’s a history of who did what.
- An MCP server that works your inbox. There’s a concrete prompt below.
What you’d pay in each: four setups
List prices in USD per month, before VAT, as of September 2026. For Metricool, the first figure is billed yearly (price per month) and the second is month to month. For HeyMark it’s monthly billing; billed yearly, Creator drops to $10 and Company to $25.
| Setup | Metricool | HeyMark |
|---|---|---|
| One person, 1 brand, needs LinkedIn | Starter, 5 brands: $20 USD or $25. With one X account: $30 or $35 | Creator: $12 USD. Doesn’t post to X |
| Small business, 1 brand, 3 people | Advanced, 15 brands: $53 or $67 | Company: $30, 5 people included |
| One person, 8 client brands, no X | Starter, 10 brands: $36 or $45. If all 8 use X: $116 or $125 | Company plus 5 extra brands: $80 |
| Agency, 4 people, 12 brands | Advanced, 15 brands: $53 or $67. With Advanced Analytics, from $89 or $103 | Company plus 9 extra brands: $120, or a Platform quote |
Where each number comes from, and who wins each setup:
- One person with 1 brand that needs LinkedIn. Metricool’s free plan doesn’t include LinkedIn, so you move to Starter: $20 USD a month billed yearly or $25 month to month. If you also post to X, add $10 per account: $30 or $35. HeyMark Creator is $12 and doesn’t post to X. HeyMark is cheaper here, though Starter does give you 5 brands.
- A small business with 1 brand and 3 people. Starter doesn’t allow team members, so Metricool puts you on Advanced: $53 USD or $67, with 15 brands you won’t use. HeyMark Company is $30 with 5 people included. HeyMark is cheaper here.
- One person with 8 client brands, no X. Metricool Starter with 10 brands costs $36 USD or $45. On HeyMark you need Company ($30, with 3 brands) plus 5 extra brands at $10 each ($50): $80 a month. Metricool is cheaper here if all you need is scheduling. If your clients need to approve inside the tool, Starter doesn’t include that and you’d move to Advanced ($53 or $67), which still costs less. If all 8 brands post to X, Metricool goes up to $116 or $125 (8 accounts at $10 come to $80), and HeyMark doesn’t cover X.
- An agency with 4 people and 12 brands. Metricool Advanced with 15 brands costs $53 USD or $67, or from $89 or $103 with Advanced Analytics, which starts at $36. On HeyMark it’s Company plus 9 extra brands at $10 ($90): $120 a month, or a Platform quote. Metricool is cheaper at list price. What the extra buys you on HeyMark is a different way to run the inbox: Mark replies to comments and DMs for all 12 brands (Company includes 3,000 AI credits a month and each reply uses 1), keyword rules are included on five networks, and you can hide or delete comments with approval.
Every Metricool plan and add-on, with its price history, is on Metricool pricing.
MCP: what you can ask Claude to do in each
Both tools offer an MCP server free on every plan, with OAuth sign-in: you connect Claude or ChatGPT and your assistant works with your data without you copying anything over. The difference is what it can do next.
With HeyMark connected, you can paste this into Claude:
Reply to a reel's comments from Claude
Use HeyMark. For the brand your brand name, find the Instagram reel we posted on Thursday and read the comments that came in yesterday. Reply only to the ones asking about the price. Tell them it's price and that the link is in our bio. Keep the brand's voice and stay under 20 words per reply. Before sending anything, show me all the replies so I can approve them. If a comment is a complaint or you're not sure what to say, don't reply and put it on a separate list for me to review.
Claude finds the reel, reads the comments, drafts replies in your brand’s voice and shows them to you. HeyMark asks for your confirmation before it replies on the platform, so nothing goes out until you approve it. Hiding a comment or turning on an automation for that same post also goes through your approval; scheduling the next post, on the other hand, runs right away.
With Metricool’s connector, there’s no documented tool that can carry out that request. Of the 27 tools it documents, 25 read data and 2 write, and both of those are for scheduling and editing scheduled posts. The permission it asks for when you connect mentions the inbox and comments, but it doesn’t document any tool that replies to them. Where it does shine is requests like these:
- “What time should I post on Instagram this week?”
- “Schedule this carousel for Tuesday at my best time slot.”
- “Compare my September reels with my competitors’ reels.”
- “How are my Meta Ads campaigns doing this month?”
If you mostly work on Instagram, Instagram MCP has more prompts like the one above, plus what your assistant can read and do on that network.
How to switch from Metricool to HeyMark
- Create your account and connect your networks
You get 14 days free. In My accounts, you connect Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, one account per network in each brand.
HeyMark's My accounts screen, connecting Instagram to a brand. - Check what you've already posted
There’s nothing to export. HeyMark pulls in what you’ve already posted, including what went out through Metricool, and lays it out on the calendar with its video, caption and numbers.
- Turn on replies and one automation
Let Mark answer your inbox in your voice, and create a keyword rule on your post with the most comments. If that post already has comments, HeyMark can work through them once you approve.
- Connect your assistant
In Claude, add HeyMark as a custom connector with the URL
https://mcp.heymark.aiand sign in with your account: there are no keys to generate. The full walkthrough is on HeyMark in Claude. - Keep Metricool while you test
You can keep using its analytics while you decide. Anything you already scheduled in Metricool still goes out from there, so don’t schedule it again in HeyMark or it will post twice. Before you cancel, check your renewal date: Metricool’s 15-day refund window only applies to your first purchase.
Metricool or HeyMark: how to decide
- Pick Metricool if analytics or ads come first, if you post to X, Pinterest or Google Business Profile, or if you work solo across two or more brands and want to pay as little as possible.
- Pick HeyMark if you spend your day answering comments and DMs, if you want automations without paying extra, or if you work with a small team that needs to approve posts before they go out.
- Run both for a while if you’re still not sure: HeyMark for the inbox and publishing, Metricool for analytics. If neither one fits, look at the Metricool alternatives.
